What is Best UK Reviews?
Best UK Reviews is a UK product research and price tracking platform. We publish expert-researched product reviews and Best Of lists to help UK shoppers make confident buying decisions, and we track prices across multiple retailers so you can set alerts and never miss a price drop.

Who runs Best UK Reviews?
Best UK Reviews is operated by FlashSeven, a UK-based technology company. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZC121506. All articles are written by Tom and Dave of the FlashSeven team.

Are your reviews independent?
Yes. Our editorial recommendations are based on research from independent expert publications and verified user reviews. The affiliate commission we earn on purchases through our links does not influence our editorial decisions. A product with a higher commission rate does not receive a better review because of it.

Do you test products yourself?
Our Research Scores are AI-generated ratings based on expert review data and verified customer reviews gathered from across the internet. They are not based on personal hands-on testing by our team. We are transparent about this — every Research Score is clearly labelled on our site as a research-based rating, not a personal test score.

Reviews and Research Scores

What is a Research Score?
A Research Score is our AI-generated aggregate rating out of 10 for a product, split between a User Score (out of 5, based on verified customer reviews) and an Expert Score (out of 5, based on independent expert publication ratings). It is not a score based on personal testing by Best UK Reviews.

Why does a product show no score?
If a product has limited review coverage across expert and user platforms, we do not show a score rather than displaying an unreliable one. We would rather show nothing than show a number that is not well supported by evidence.

Can I trust your pros and cons?
Every pro and con in our articles is sourced from named expert publications or verified user reviews. We do not fabricate review content or write pros and cons based on manufacturer marketing material.

Price Tracking and Price Alerts

How does price tracking work?
We monitor prices across multiple UK retailers using authorised affiliate network data feeds and APIs. Prices are updated regularly and every price shown on our platform includes a "last updated" timestamp. We do not scrape retailer websites.

How do I set a price alert?
Go to any product page and click "Set Price Alert." Enter your email address and your target price — the price at which you want to be notified. You will receive an email from pricealert@bestukreview.co.uk when the product's price drops to or below your target at any of the sellers we track.

How many products can I track?
You can track up to 20 products in total — up to 10 via product page alerts and up to 10 products you add yourself through your personal dashboard.

How often will I receive price alert emails?
By default, you will receive a maximum of one price alert email per fortnight to avoid inbox overload. You can adjust this in your account dashboard — you can increase the frequency up to a maximum of two emails per week, or reduce it to monthly if you prefer.

Will I get an alert for every tiny price change?
Only when the price drops to or below your target price. If you set a target of £50 and the price drops from £75 to £65, you will not be alerted. If it drops to £50 or below, you will be.

What happens to my alert when a product goes out of stock?
Your alert is paused automatically when a product goes out of stock. It resumes the moment the product comes back into stock and is checked against your target price again.

Do price alerts expire?
Personal product tracking (products you add yourself via your dashboard) expires after 6 months. You will be notified before expiry and can renew if you want to continue tracking.

Accounts and Subscriptions

Do I need an account to use Best UK Reviews?
You can browse all articles and product pages without an account. You need an account to set price alerts and access your personal tracking dashboard.

What happens when I create an account?
When you create an account, you become a Best UK Reviews subscriber. You will receive price alert emails from pricealert@bestukreview.co.uk for products you track, a monthly price summary, and our newsletter covering new reviews and notable price drops. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time — price alerts are managed separately in your dashboard.

How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter?
Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you will be removed from newsletter sends immediately. This does not affect your price alert emails.

How do I delete my account?
Email us at support@bestukreview.co.uk or tom@bestukreview.co.uk and we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days in line with your rights under UK GDPR.

Affiliate Links and Deals

What is an affiliate link?
When you click a "Buy Now" button on Best UK Reviews and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the retailer. This is called an affiliate commission. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer.

Which affiliate programmes does Best UK Reviews use?
We currently earn commissions through Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network, Sovrn Commerce, and Skimlinks, among others. A full current list is on our Affiliate Disclosure page.

Why can I only track prices for some retailers and not others?
We can only include retailers in our price tracking and alert system where we have an active affiliate partnership. This means the retailer must be part of one of our affiliate programmes and provide pricing data through that programme. Retailers outside our affiliate network cannot currently be tracked — but we are adding new affiliate partnerships regularly, and you can request a retailer through the Trackable Brands section of the site.

What are the Deals and Offers?
Our Deals and Offers page features curated discount codes and promotional offers from brands across our affiliate network. All deals are affiliate links — we earn a commission if you make a purchase.

Technical Questions

Why is a price I see on the product page different from the price I find on the retailer website?
Prices are updated regularly but there can be a short lag between a price change and our system reflecting it. Every price on our platform includes a "last updated" timestamp. Always verify the current price on the retailer's website before completing a purchase.

I cannot find a product on the site. Can I request it?
Yes — use the product search on our Products page. If the product is not found, you will see an option to request it. We review all requests and add products based on demand and available affiliate network coverage.

Do you work with brands or PR agencies?
Yes — we are open to collaborations with brands, PR teams, and content creators. If you would like to work with Best UK Reviews, please reach out to us at support@bestukreview.co.uk or tom@bestukreview.co.uk. Please note that any paid or gifted collaboration will be clearly disclosed in the relevant content in line with ASA guidelines.

Privacy and Data

How do you use my data?
We use your email address to send price alerts, your monthly price summary, and our newsletter. We do not sell your data to third parties. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
